Once a proficiency test has been completed and the final report has been distributed to the participants, the report will be uploaded.
As the Forensic Foundations’ Proficiency Testing has only been recently developed, a sample report, for demonstration purposes has been uploaded

2018-1 Automotive Paint
Automotive Paint
Police have been investigating a number of ‘chop shops’ which they believe are linked. Panels have been collected from four locations.
The participant laboratory is requested to examine the panels to determine if any of them match,
participants will be provided with four panels each collected from one of the locations.
2018-2 Microscopic hair examination
Microscopic hair examination
A blanket was used to wrap a body. Tape lifts were taken of the blanket. The participant laboratory will be asked to examine the tape lifts to determine if any hairs can be detected, and if so, whether these hairs can provide any information to the investigators.
Participants will be provided a tape lift from the blanket
2018-3 Biological Examination and DNA
Biological Examination and DNA
During a home invasion, an altercation occurred which included the home occupants. The occupants were injured and bled, it is thought that their assailant also bled.
Participants will be provided with samples of the carpet

2018-4 Forensic Document Examination
Forensic Document Examination
Fraud investigators have collected a number of documents from a number of locations.
Participants will be provided with a number of machine generated documents and asked to examine the documents for authenticity and also to determine if they have a common source.
